Learning outcomes:
By the end of this module participants will be able to:
- Have a better understanding of what might be needed from them as leaders within PBC and with the development of WCC skills
- Identify specific techniques they can draw upon to help them to discuss service re-design & change & know how to apply those techniques within their own environment
- Identify a range of leadership skills to apply in different situations
- Have a better understanding of their own leadership style and the implications for the way they engage with others
- Have a better understanding of how to plan change, overcome barriers to change, identify when change fatigue is occurring and evaluate change within a PBC environment,
Potential use within PBC:
- Engaging with other clinical leaders to secure effective change
- Being able to work with other key stakeholders to deliver the change needed
- Understanding why there is resistance to change and the PBCers role and capability in identifying a way to overcome resistance
- Adopting a range of techniques to deal with resistance to change
- Being able to provide the leadership skills to bring potentially disenchanted clinical colleagues on board to deliver service transformation
