Academy Benefits

The PBC Academy offers a 'pick and mix' approach to skills development. The learning modules are intended to complement other courses and training opportunities for PBC, recognising that many commissioning GPs will be unable to secure regular time off to attend a long term, regular course. The specific intention is to create opportunities to dip into topics of particular interest or for which there is a particular need in a local commissioning group. Participants are not expected to attend every module.

Learning module participants will also:

• Learn about local initiatives and expertise on the learning module topic
• Have access to relevant resources through the Academy website
• Meet others with an interest in PBC
• Learn about effective commissioning through practical examples, case studies where available, and published literature about the topic
